Cantors

Cantors provide leadership and encouragement for the full participatioin of the congregation in sung prayer. 
  
The ability to read music, sing on pitch, teach music, and lead the congregation is required.

Apart from weekend Masses, “funeral cantors” specifically serve to aid comfort to grieving families during a funeral Mass on a weekday.
