Goals for Faith Formation

    Adults
    1. To enable adults to connect their own faith stories with our Story in Scripture and Tradition in order to grow in their relationship with God
    2. To enable adults to connect their own faith stories with the faith stories of others in order to build a community grounded in Faith
    3. To enable single, married and divorced parents to recognize and celebrate their role as primary educators in Faith for their children
    4. To provide non-Catholic adults and non-practicing Catholic adults experiences and catechesis to connect with the Roman Catholic tradition.

    Sacramental Preparation

    1. To enable parents to actively engage in the immediate preparation of their children for sacramental celebration through sharing their own faith life
    2. To continue to develop preparation processes that enable participants to reflect on their Faith journey and, through a deeper understanding of ritual, sign and symbol, to attune to God's intimate presence in sacrament
    3. To create in all preparation processes an environment of hospitality which provides a necessary comfort zone for spiritual growth to take place and for community to happen

Religious Education for Youth, 7th - 12th Grades

    1. To provide our young people with a forum to question our beliefs in order to own our Story and Tradition
    2. To help our young people build on their understanding of our Story in Scripture and Tradition in order to engage the Gospel in their daily choices
    3. To help our young people expand their own spirituality to develop a more personal relationship with Jesus

    Children's Religious Education/ Grades Pre-Kindergarten through 6

    1. To help children come to know our Story in Scripture and Tradition in order to see God's unconditional love active in their lives
    2. To help children connect with their peers and with the larger community of Faith so that they feel a sense of belonging to the family of God
    3. To enable children to develop and enrich their prayer life in private and public worship and to develop an understanding and commitment to living the Gospel in family, neighborhood, nation and world.
